FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What areas of the body can a tattoo be removed from?
Fading is generally slower for tattoos on the arms, hands, legs, and feet as they are farther away from the heart. Tattoos in areas with higher blood circulation (like the chest or neck) tend to fade faster.
Can all skin tones be treated for laser tattoo removal?
The Astanza Trinity laser that we use at Virtue Tattoo produces three wavelengths of light energy (1064 nm, 532 nm, and 694nm) to target and treat ALL tattoo colors, including black, brown, red, orange, green, yellow, violet, and resistant bright blues and greens. Combined, these wavelengths deliver full-spectrum removal while safely treating all skin types on the Fitzpatrick scale, even darker skin tones IV through VI.
How long will it take to see results?
Most of our clients will need 5-8 sessions depending on their unique skin and the application of the tattoo. Some of our clients have achieved complete removal in as few as four sessions, whereas others may need ten or more sessions.
How much does laser tattoo removal cost?
Tattoo removal is priced similarly to the process of getting tattoos, and requires multiple sessions. The larger the tattoo, the more sessions it may take to achieve the best result. In the consultation phase, we will advise how many sessions it might take depending on your unique skin and tattoo. We offer discounts for multiple sessions if you pre-pay. How do I prep my skin for tattoo removal?
The treated area should be cared for delicately until the skin has completely healed. Apply a cool compress on the skin after a session, and Tylenol may be taken. Apply Aquaphor to the area 2-3 times daily until healing is complete. Avoid any excess trauma to the treated area during the healing process.
Sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunless tanning products must be avoided for two weeks before your appointment.
What is the aftercare process for tattoo removal?
Are all tattoo removal lasers the same?
Tattoo removal lasers vary in the level of effectiveness. At Virtue Tattoo, we use the Astanza Trinity, the most powerful laser tattoo removal technology on the market. This industry-leading system combines the power of a Q-switched Nd: YAG laser and Q-switched ruby laser and is trusted by leading physicians, tattoo removal artists, medical spas, estheticians, and laser practitioners worldwide for its reliability, effectivity, and safety.
The Trinity combines an ultra-short pulse duration of 6,000 picoseconds with high pulse energy to produce intense peak power for optimal ink shattering, faster fading, and better results. Furthermore, Trinity’s homogenous square spot beam reduces treatment overlap and minimizes the risk of unwanted thermal injury. The Trinity is specifically designed to shatter tattoo ink particles without harming any surrounding skin tissue, making this the safest method for removing unwanted ink. This state-of-the-art laser delivers not only superior results but also provides safe treatments you can trust!
